Mit Ihrem sechsten Album nähert sich Wellenfeld dem Anfang von allem: Dem Big Bang. Musikalisch betritt das Duo dabei bekannte Wege, verpackt diese aber sehr geschickt versteckt in einem subtil neuen Sound. Dabei treten das ein oder Mal eine weitere Wurzel von Wellenfelds Vergangenheit in den Vordergrund: EBM, Teutonic Beats und New Beat.

 Diese tanzbare, elektronische Traummusik aus den späten 80er Jahren, war Vorreiter für die später aufkommende Technowelle. Auf "The Big Bang" mischen sich all diese Stile mit der Gegenwart zusammen zu einem ganz neuen musikalischen Erlebnis. Andreas Braun und Detlef Dominizcak verzichten an keiner Stelle auf Ihre typisch-schwebenden Melodien und verpacken Vergangenheit und Zukunft in ein zeitloses Konzept-Album. Auch wenn ihr sechstes Werk 3 Minuten nach dem BigBang endet, so beschreibt es auf fantastische Weise die Reise auf dem Weg dorthin. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

With their sixth album, Wellenfeld approach the beginning of everything: the Big Bang. Musically the duo enter known ways, but they packed it hidden in a subtle new sound. Another musical root of Wellenfeld´s past comes to the fore: EBM, New Beat and Teutonic Beats.
This danceable, electronic dream music from the late 80s, was the pioneer for the later emergence of Techno. On "The Big Bang", all these styles wree mixed together to a new musical experience. Andreas Detlef Braun and Dominizcak do not disclaim once more their typical floating melodies and pack them togehter to a timeless concept album. Even though their sixth album ends 3 minutes after the BigBang, it describes the way to a fantastic trip on the way to the beginning of all known. Highly recommended.
